Been enjoying Chinese media for a while and I’m happy other people are too but I still love anime, kinda wish people would stop trying to pit them against each other, we can just enjoy good shows from everywhere

For the people that say its bad bc its chinese, then what about Solo Leveling? Thats not a japanese manga adaptation. And won tons of awards. Its a collab with a Korean IP too. There are a lot of chinese animators in Japan too. And pretty good Donghua out there as well. The difference isnmainly that China has its own pop + culture that we in the west are not involved in. I get all the japanese keywords and references. For example the difference between ni-chan and aniki. Then its chinese and they lose me, is that his brother or his BROTHER? Idk whats going on.
But To be Hero is just western enough to not alienate people, so it could become popular. Its gonna be a whilen until chinese pop culture can take over in the west and actual chinese donghua break through. But doesnt mean its bad, its just unfamiliar.
Tbh I prefer their cg ones, feel like they do them better than Japan. Nezha Reborn > Any Final Fantasy movie. Sue me 😎

Wait till Lord of Mysteries comes out this month, also later this year we might get False Memory which looks like FLCL on steroid.

Hero X is nothing special. Everyone is hyped because of an original IP. I'll shut up when China can churn out bangers consistently… which is near impossible because the human brain can only use 10% of its capacity and it's always gonna revert to profits and 1000 year old lolis. The series feels fresh because of the animation style, which Arcane already did first.

Im an enjoyer of bad anime, but its true its gets very VERY repetitive and TBHX really made me enjoy seeing new types of ideas come out, hopefully japan follows suit and stop pumping out slop and goes for new ideas/ better animations. instead of just spamming 95% slop. Great video. Keep it up!
