    MLP:FIM: I’m a magical pony! 🤪🤪

  31. I think 2024 should definitely go to the Dan Da Dan opening 1

  32. 00:13 Candy Candy – yes, I'm old enough to remember this from television. Actually rerun, the series was already 18 year old when I saw it. Classic shoujo set in early XX-century America. Nice to watch from time to time but sometimes it gets too melodramatic for my liking.

00:27 Lupin III – the famous band of thevies, consisting of grandson of famous gentleman thief (Lupin), a gunslinger (Daisuke JIgen), femme fatale (Fujiko Mine) and guy who thinks he's still living in feudal Japan (Goemon). The series is really fun to watch, althrough some episodes are ridiculous (popcorn-fueled rocket? seriously?)

00:39 Captain Harlock – space pirate defending Earth despite being treated (by decadent government) as persona non grata (at best). Real man who never breaks his word and values freedom over all. This is what Nietsche means by "ubermensch" AFAIK.

01:21 Urusei Yatsura – Didn't watch more than few episodes. Electrifying romance of perverted schoolboy and space princess.

01:50 Cat's Eye – band of sexy thieves sisters.

02:24 Bubblegum Crisis – cyberpunk OAV. The music is really nice.

02:58 City Hunter – main character being combination of Leon the professional (his profession) and Johnny Bravo (his character and hobby). Let's say that thanks to the manga I finally know what "mokkori" means XD .

03:54 Sailor Moon – a gateway anime for my generation. Back in the day when someone said "anime", this is what they meant. Best watch as pirated subs, since official translation often got censored or modified one way or another (by attempting to remove LGBT elements or make series more childlish than it is). My favorite is third season (Sailor Moon S) with mad scientist as main villain.

04:35 Neon Genesis Evangelion – one of the (if not the) biggest tearjerker and mindscrew in anime. Everyone had some trauma, including the penguin. The biblical elements were interesting though.

05:16 Cowboy Bebop – the soundtrack is great if you're into jazz, blues, funk and like. But mostly jazz.

05:53 InuYasha – one of the few isekai that didn't require protagonist to die XD .

05:58 Hellsing – the music is really cool, too bad the manga author didn't catch up and after a half, which consist of stories from first two volumes of the manga, the manga and anime goes separate ways (manga has no Incognito, anime has no vampire nazis). Probably should watch "Ultimate" remake, as it's AFAIR more faithful to the manga.

06:14 Gundam Seed – the first Gundam series I've seen. Quite popular back in the day.

06:40 Bleach – seen just first season when aired on TV. Last thing I remember is that they went to Soul Society to safe Rukia.

06:54 Air – the shortest and, at least to me, most boring Key game adapdation. I liked Kanon (2006) and Clannad way more. The recap episode at the end didn't help.

07:07 Code Geass – boy with mind control powers leading the revolution. And Pizza Hutt. Notto disu shitto agen 🙂

07:45 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – Didn't watch the previous adapdation, seen this on Netflix. Heard this is more faithful to the manga.

07:52 Angel Beats – you think afterlife will be peaceful? Think again.

08:10 Hunter x Hunter – action-filled shounen with boys learning to master their superpowers against peadophile clown (among other things). The chimera ant arc is really long, I considered dropping it.

09:10 Erased – going back in time to solve/prevent a crime was an interesting idea. Live action adapdation is good too IMHO.

09:21 My Hero Academia – the X-men in reverse, more or less. Instead of mutants trying to prove normies they're not monsters we have normie among mutants who's lack of superpowers is treated as disability. Kinda showcasing the cultural difference between individualist America and collectivist Japan.

09:46 Demon Slayer – the wildboar guy is funny. And villain is Michael Jackson, or so I heard.
