Yoshiki turns to Hikaru and says:

Six months earlier, Hikaru went missing in the mountains and returned unexpectedly a week later.
The new Hikaru looks and sounds just like the original, but something else is stirring within him.
“Hikaru is gone… If that’s the case, then…”
Yoshiki continues spending his days with the “something” imitating Hikaru, while pretending as if nothing has changed.
Meanwhile, strange incidents begin to plague the village.

I can’t wait to watch the anime adaption! I used to read the manga everyday after school while blasting ‘My September’ by Nastyona in my headphones. Truly such an enjoyable plot and set of characters, giving you the perfect balance of creepy, wholesome, and everything in between. Such a promising trailer too!

Omg I remember reading this when there were only a few chapters out and LOVING the concept, I had literal chills on all the scenes involving "hikaru", the manga was beautiful and absolutely gut wrenching I genuinely think it's my favourite one to this date and I cannot tell you how excited I am for this anime OMGGG, just from the few scenes in this trailer I'm so hooked, the expression?? the cicada and bell sounds???
