Jujutsu Kaisen & Demon Slayer are pretty popular, but those two are not even close to be put on the top 10 most popular anime IN JAPAN when there are other candidates such as “Mobile Suit Gundam”, “HUNTER×HUNTER” or “Naruto”.
And you disrespected Doraemon by putting it at #6 lmao That anime is at least top 3. It’s legendary in Japan.
Im so glad One Piece is in this list and not Naruto. All Naruto fans does is talk down One Piece and belittle it without even watching it. Ive seen both and One Piece is miles better.

Dragon Ball z will always be my favorite
Too bad anime's like Crayon Shin-chan, Doraemon, Anpanman, Detective Conan/Case Closed, Chibi Maruko-chan, and Sazae-san aren't popular here in the US because Americans prefer Shōnen anime.
The Simpsons may be more popular in America, but Sazae-san is Japan's equivalent of Sesame Street, with both debuting in 1969, and both being their respective countries' longest-running shows ever.
I didn't chibi maruko chan if I didn;t watch this video. Also, are you using blue archive OST?
I thought Doraemon would be in the top 3, but still among the top 10 most popular anyway.
At least Detective Conan is among the 3 most popular ones & I'm hardly surprised.
Doraemon at this Point is a god in Japan , that amount of fame for a fictional character is unimagineable.

I am living in an age where very little things surprise me. I am surprised that SAZAE-SAN got the number one spot. That is something.
Also, CRAYON SHIN-CHAN*, CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN, and DORAEMON* got the spots in this video. I am so surprised.
I wonder why URUSEI YATSURA is not here. I mean without that, we would not have the American cartoon, GALAXY HIGH, but the popular American cartoon STAR VS. THE FORCES OF EVIL.
*CRAYON SHIN-CHAN had an episode with Shin-Godzilla to coincide with the hype of the 2016 film.
*The STAND BY ME DORAEMON trilogy was directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who directed GODZILLA MINUS ONE (2023). Also, how is ONE-PIECE and NARUTO is like DORAEMON? It is like saying without Charlie Chaplin, we would have no King Kong. How is one thing like the others?

Sailor Moon was the first anime I've ever watched. But I watched the English dubbed version, where her name is Serena and the OST was different from the Japanese version. ~Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight. Never running from a real fight, she is the one named Sailor Moon.~

Dragon ball Z is airing weekly in Tokyo MX, Dragon ball GT on Saturdays in BS Fuji.And Now Daima returning in Fuji TV ❤
