As a Chilean person, this also happens quite all the time, or maybe twice or 4 times a year (per city)
as a former Japan resident, I feel that.
What gets me is… given how they react. These people have little to no knowledge of earthquakes. As such, they likely would not have built their structures to accommodate that. Which is to say, if an earthquake hit, why aren't more things being cracked like eggs in this scenario?

I live in Sweden, we don't get earthquakes at all so even a magnitude 1 would give me nightmares

Magnitude 4 to 6 is negligible on where i live. People are like "oh, an earthquake" and life goes on like normal.
7 on the otherhand is dangerous. Our houses are built to withstand earthquakes and typhoons but 7 might start some cracks, worse it will collapse.
