The problem of japanese animes today is they put their money on voice actors rather than animation thats why there are alots of anime today are with poor animation we know that VA are important but they need to balance it and even chinese animation is good im not watching it unless its in japanese dub also many of chinese studio recruiting japanese artist

The problem is while chinese anime trailer look good but most of the actual anime quality is poor.
In 5 to 10 years we will find out the results… It is the viewers of this media themselves who will choose what is better..

I don't think people are aware of the peak animation coming out right now in China. Im talking Demon's Ascension, all devouring whale, and some of the newer 3d animation coming out. This stuff is in 4k, its pushing the boundary of what animation could be. Japan already lost, especially with the pathetic cour that has released ( talking about you TBATE)
2D Chinese anime you should watch: The Kings Avatar, The Daily Life of the Immortal King, and Full-Time Magister.
3D animation if you can look past it: Soul land, Throne of Seal, and Tales of Demons and Gods.
Throne of seal they really went next level with the soundtrack God damn.
It's nice to see people talking about Chinese anime they've been going off for a while since 2017 With The Kings Avatar, but personally if it's not from the East it's not anime it's just an inferior copy there are a few exceptions like Avatar but for the most part garbage.

I've seen a lot of Chinese animated series these last two years and have two major observations.
A) their stories need work , most of what I've seen is half baked in terms of story with some notable exceptions, they follow a lot the formula of op protagonist and have some very dubious powerups.
B) in terms of animation and visuals they're quite probably the best thing that has ever come in anime. Their fights are insane and effects unparalleled. Series like shen mu and tales of herding gods look better than the best things major companies like DreamWorks can design. I could not believe the visuals they have.
C) why is hades a main villain on some obscure Chinese animation?? Dude cannot be stopped getting done dirty in Western media and now this???
The gay subtext in HOB comes directly from Chinese history and literature with emperor's having 'best bois' and writing poetry for them among other things.

This is nonsense. Asian stories are just archetypal stories like in the west. Just hero's journeys. if anything the Chinese are stuck in the past. What makes the Chinese anime industry as good as the Japanese one is culture, identity and national pride. Something the west lacks. You could boil it down to identity.

For decades, Koreans were the actual animators whose names are on credit rolls. Outsourced workers are, at the end of the day, replaceable. The same goes to all the incredible Chinese man power in animation industry. In the end, IP is what brings the money. Look at Pokémon games…they are dog shit, but still selling for decades only due to IP. China has a long way to build such IP.
China is good but it's nowhere near Japan. China lacks the sophisticated culture to compete with Japan. The Chinese market could be bigger but class would always remain with Japan.😊
