First of all, any animation from china is called "Donghua" if it is from japan then you call it "anime". Chinese donghua didn't just "start getting good" around the time Link Click was released, it started massively improving around the mid 2010's with the release of donghua like "The kings avatar" and "Mo dao Zu shi (The founder of diabolism)". This progress led up to shows like link click in 2021 and many other shows that are not popular in the west. The difference now is that Donghua is more accessible to the west than it ever has been and this is why it's popularity has been steadily growing in the west as of recent

It’s crazy how they took Pixar and anime and made it better and blended. I’m a Demon Slayer fan boy. But this is the best thing I have seen if not better since.
…I think I have to intervene here and clarify that the "Chinese Social Credit System" doesn't actually exist in the way it is often portrayed online. There were some trials by tech companies for a system along those lines about a decade ago, but nothing actually came from it in the long run. We've just collectively gaslit ourselves into believing it exists through memes XD
