There are not a lot of good 2d chinese donghua out there but still they are very good. Also i highly recommend Mortals Journey to Immortality it is a 3d BUT it is very beautiful and the animations look like as if they were motion captured.
Fog hill of five elements season 2 was best of the best with 4 episodes

China animation is the best there is no contest but most of their stories are really bad I cannot seat through their shows unless it has cool fight scenes
everyday a look for "chinese animation" o "donghua" analisis or videos in youtube, and almost never find.

Talking about "censorship" I have seen a lot in USA too, DBZ said "I will send you to the looser zone" instead to say "I will send you to de H_ell" or "I will k_ll you", cut a lot of stuff too,

why? beacause is supoused to be for childrens and for "religion" constraints.
The same in Chi_na, more even when all their contents have to be "family friendly" because they haven't developed the "age categories" as much as in the west.
When is related to "importation" of animation that censorship su_cks.
But when is related to creation is the opposite.
In the art and literature, the most creative stuff were created thanks to "limitations" that forced them to look for other ways to give a message, then I feel that cen_sorship is not an excuse to create bad quality content.
Also, is lack of limits is a garantee of good art, just take a look of disney that even with all that "freedom" are uncapable to create anything good.
I don't justify censorship by the way, but in the art I think is good to put limits (otherwise we got persons like in west blending fish alive in a blender calling it "art"),
in the speech as far as you not damage others its ok.

Westerners are always arrogant in their criticism of Chinese things from the point of view of history and censorship. Why is that? Because they've done it themselves. Your criticism of Chinese censorship or other aspects of it just goes to show that the Chinese information/news you receive is also censored by Western governments. China's products can't get a truly positive evaluation in the West, what is more shameful than Western censorship?
