Adobe is so cooked 😂
OK. I need to plan to stop using adobe now.
For those that dont know. Adobe aquired Macromedias tech and payment gated it as discussed.
it was Trump‘s administration that moved to remove that protection from users. Click to cancel.
Give it 10 years and everyone dymps adobe for all their bs
Yohoho and a bottle of rum…
I don't agree with adobe's actions but I am fairly certain the kill fee is from people choosing the Annual Plan, paying Month-to-Month. you sign the contract that states if you cancel before the year (After some arbitrary time passes into the contract) you will need to pay the remainder. If you want a lower kill-fee I would recommend paying the higher priced month-to-month. My workflow is slightly too entwined into Adobe to switch away at the moment. I would also recommend alternative platforms as well.
The Japanese dont need adobe , they can use any tools for their works.. and they are programmers.. they will develop new tools for their works..
I use clip studio
lots of the world is becoming more and more like a extreme totalitarian dictatorship.
Because Adobe scanning all of your uploaded works to train their AI wasn't a red flag enough? I would have thought most NSFW artists would have jumped ship from that alone.
Figma
@1:20 Hey, me too! Clip Studio is great. Adobe has been going down hill since they transferred from software you could purchase to a subscription model.
Who knew that using open source alternatives could help fight prejudice against Japanese artists by a big business like Adobe?
If they don't use Photoshop, then I won't use it.
I don't touch Adobe products and I now I know that I never will.
GIMP over Photoshop guaranteed. I still don't understand why people paid for that crap by Adobe.
Adobe has been evil for decades.
Capitalism unchecked. You pay for stuff you can't own. Then the company you are leasing the software from can now revoke or ban you. That is fine, but then they should refund all of your money.
Finally people can have a method to cancel Adobe subscription easily
Then Jack Sparrow music theme played suddenly.
You say it's really weird to see adults flagging other people's content, but it's not really surprising. We had an entire generation raised with helicopter parenting and it was always "go talk to an adult! See a teacher, the principal, your parents!" and they literally have never learned any sort of basic conflict resolution other than "go find an authority figure to solve it for you" and it's a large part of why gen-z and late millennials are absolutely horrible in the workplace, is everything turns into drama and asking their boss to punish people non-stop. The 60+ year old boss doesn't know about this mindset at first, just assumes that "oh, someone's actually complaining and demanding we do something, it must be big!" and has no clue their new employee just has zero socialization or social skills in general, no conflict resolution capacity whatsoever, they're non-functional as adults. As usual, this isn't everyone in those groups at all by any means, but it's a very high % compared to any generation before them. gen-x and early millennials were in the "be home by midnight I guess, tell me if someone dies" kind of parenting and had to learn to do everything themselves, so it's a completely different mindset entirely for the most part. The point is though, that this isn't weird at all, it's perfectly normal for someone who has only ever grown up being told to find an authority figure to solve all their problems for them. They literally CAN'T sort it out themselves like adults, because they never knew how. Now… just imagine what's going to happen when they become the authority figure instead. Oh yeah, we already see that – rampant abuse of power since they have no clue how to interact with anyone on a basic level.
In other news, the cracked version of the Adobe products are suddenly having a surge in the torrent sites.
Sadly, this has become the norm, not just Adobe, but a lot of other companies. Just don't I don't care about their customer base. It's all about money for them.
Class action lawsuit I see
Cancelling CC was the best decision I've made in a while.
I'm still using a 22 year old copy of Paint Shop Pro.
This kind of crap, is why i don't use 'the cloud'.
I haven’t touched photoshop since the day they switched to subscription-based.
Been using CSP for just shy of a decade now and couldn’t be happier about it.
Just pirate the older versions
Anyone still using Adobe is part of the problem. I stopped using any of their software over a decade ago — they’ve been anti-consumer for ages now, stealing everything while demanding more and more money
Edit: there are open source options for everything they offer that work just as well or better
See Adobe's c-suite and you'll know why 😂
What a brave new world. A drawing program dictates what you can and cannot draw.
just a reminder that you can still download cracked older versions of photoshop and there are plenty of other software that do not give a damn what are you creating using the software.
Adobe cannot go out of business fast enough, the sooner they're out of the picture the better all artists lives are.
0:38 so in other words: download all your files in a format other software can use then draw whatever adobe hates and you get to get out of the kill fee
Never used adobe a day in my life.
Good thing there are more far better paint softwares like sai studio paint.
Shortcut to cancelling adobe = back up your art, then cloud something to get banned for
people is too used to adobe shortcut, just
Are there even any Japanese artists left to ban that haven't already ditched Adobe?
